When I got my first 7 string back in June 2010, I was experimenting around with it and I experimented with open tunings and the tuning of this particular song is an Open Amaj7 (AEAEG#C#E), which is really great for experimenting with. I also have numerous songs in this tuning, including progressive metal song "Utopia's Demise", which you can hear the demo on Youtube. This song was an experimentation of jazz fusion progressive musicianship. I will definitely be doing more versions of this song in the near future considering this is more of a laid back jazz version of the song.
